If you're new here, welcome! We are a colourful community of believers with large vision and big dreams, who love Jesus and love our world. What Jesus did and established at the Cross is very good news. In fact it’s scandalous it is so good! He has forgiven our sins, declared man innocent and cancelled any concept of distance between God and man. It is this message of glad tidings we feel compelled to preach because His unfathomable love has captivated us. Read more >>
A testimony from Azusa SA
Grant Flaum | 18 April 2016
An incredible testimony from one of our visitors at last week's Azusa SA multi church gathering:

For approximately 7 years I had a bony (cartilage) growth on my right foot and about a year later another one appeared on my left foot. The one on the right foot was the largest. I had it x rayed 6 years ago and my dr advised me to leave it if it did not give me any problems, as it was not malignant and it could grow back after an operation. At that stage It didn't give me any problems, but about a month ago my feet became very painful. I had it x rayed again on the 7th of April 2016 and the report showed that it was still not malignant, but that I had arthritis in both my feet.

On the 9th of April, the Saturday evening, my husband and I attended one of your church services with my daughter and son-in-law.  The testimony of the miracles of the amputee's leg that grew back and the lady who was instantly healed of cancer, touched me deeply. I do believe in miracles and have in the past experienced firsthand how God has used me as an instrument to pray for people, who were healed, but somehow my faith was much stronger when I prayed for other people than for myself.

During praise & worship, I prayed to God that if He could make an amputee's leg grow back, I know and believe with all my heart that He can remove the growths on my feet and take the pain away and that because of Jesus's finished work at the cross, I have a blood-bought right to live in divine health. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit very clearly as I prayed in tongues.

The next morning when I woke up, I looked at my feet and noticed that the growth on my left foot was almost completely gone and the larger one on my right foot was more than half the size smaller than it had been. After a day or 2 the pain also started to go away.

I thank God for the miracle that by Jesus's stripes I am healed and trust that the last remaining bit of growth will completely disappear.

Waterwheel vision
| 26 January 2016
While Jeff Struss on Sunday was speaking about how water that stands still begins to stagnate, I saw a picture of a huge waterfall coming down from heaven.  The water was pouring onto a massive waterwheel which was making the waterwheel turn around. The waterwheel started turning slowly but then began turning faster as the water from the waterfall continued to flow in an ever stronger way.  There was no end to the amount of water coming from the waterfall. There was a continuous movement of the water.  While the waterwheel was turning, it was generating electricity which kept spreading further and further.

I felt that God was saying that as we allow His Holy Spirit and presence to pour down on us, we will begin to build momentum just like the waterwheel.  As His mighty water turns our waterwheel it will generate electricity in the hearts of everyone we come in contact with. This will have far reaching effects on our community, our city, our country and our world.

The purpose of church
Grant Flaum | 09 November 2015
Hello amazing church

Today I can’t help but recall the amazing quote from Bill Johnson at our session with him in Redding recently. He said ‘The purpose of the church is to be a dwelling place of God to provoke change in us to transform the world.’

How profound is that??

When we gather on a Sunday morning (or Wednesday evening or any time) we become a ‘greenhouse’ of His presence, a patch of heaven on earth.

In that space people experience peace and joy and healing and refreshing and family. They encounter. Not only do they encounter truth (which may be in stark contrast to the facts of their pressing circumstances) but they encounter the majesty of Jesus. He truly is all we need.

From this place of recharging and the injection of courage we receive from the gathering we get to discharge into our world (the transforming part of Bill’s quote). We model what we have just seen by taking this glorious explosive resurrection life in to our every day. That is how heaven comes to our workplace, our family life, our neighbourhoods, our sportsfields, for example.

We can do nothing without Him and He chooses to do nothing without us (by and large). A divine partnership full of moments to celebrate his victories (big and small) in our and other people’s lives.

Onward and upward for the prize that awaits us!

Love always.

3 planes flying overhead
| 22 September 2015
On Sunday morning during the prayer time before the service, three planes flew overhead in formation.  As I looked up it reminded me of the Trinity and how our strength comes from flowing in the power of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
I wrote the following poem during worship the same morning:

Flying in formation with God
High up in the sky, soaring free
There is no place I would rather be,
Wing to wing we fly
Supporting each other in the sky.

Together we fly as one
Joined with the Father, Spirit and Son.
Each is focused on the whole
As we soar and dive and roll.

Careful precision is needed here
A vision that is true and clear.
When we follow where God leads
That is when our flight succeeds.

Keeping Him in our sight
Everything will be all right
As He guides us through the storms and clouds
We hear His voice when everything else seems loud.

As we continue to soar to new heights
The burden He gives us is so light
In formation with Him we soar
And discover we were made for so much more!

He will never let us crash and burn
He leads us through each twist and turn.
His love is all we ever need
A love that is pure and generous indeed.

This good news
Grant Flaum | 10 August 2015
Good morning beautiful Central Parks family, the beloved saints, the hungry ones,

To think that through a wild deliberate act of intense love God broke the barrier between man and God and sent Jesus as our mediator that we were gifted this radical love initiative not because of anything we did, but because of a love sick Father calling His children home.

And those that have received this redemption act and received Jesus into their hearts now live fully equipped to love and be loved within the Father's family and out on to the streets of their world.
As we burn and yearn for Him He floods us with a love and power that knows no limits.

All it takes is one 'yes' and a tucking in close to the author and perfector of love itself.

Arise Central Parks City Church. This is our finest hour.

History is about to be re-written.
